I mean he is. And why pay more in taxes? Since there are things the government does that can not be achieved (or can not be done easily) from the private sector. Universal Basic Income necessitates the coordination that only the government has. Shifting to universal healthcare requires a guaranteed supply of funding and knowledge that the government possesses. Repairing roads and bridges etc..
