This Is Compared To Other Games Like Shooters

  • It was always hard to put my finger on what I meant, although I told anyone who asked that RS was unique to any other match they could name. But now I understand that"grinding" means to just put time into something instead of develop any sort of ability or talent within OSRS gold, that is foreign to any other current game, even most RPGs (I think). PVP is actually the system in RuneScape I can think of off hand, and an extremely small minority of the playerbase even does this. It's a bit embarrassing to reflect on the truth that my celebrations of my own and others'achievements have literally just been"congratulations on investing X quantity of time to nothing and not getting better at anything within RuneScape or otherwise". I guess I never framed it this way in my head, although it should have been clear that this is the reality of RS.

As I am more of a casual participant the text appears quite ridiculous at first (it is just a game duh) but that I could really imagine that happening. If you're able to get in the mindset by design RS is very addicting. I never had problems tho. After leveling up my primary for years I stopped. I stopped playing mostly because everyone around me started to"man up" and stopped having fascination with"child's games". I sold my friend that was younger my accounts which was that for a while. In my military days (we've mandatory army/civil support in Finland) I met with a man who reintroduced me to RS since the old school had been published. It was not a child's game or we'd developed enough to understand that you shouldn't care much about peer groups' remarks.

My thoughts? When abused anything can be unhealthy. This reads like one of these too exaggerated reports of someone with serious addictive character issues becoming hooked on a drug, destroying their life to it and then whining about itmeanwhile the remainder of the population uses said drug responsibly and has no issues with it. There. You have no issues and can play an hour, daily or two. You go to work, have a social life (or not if you are not that kind of man anyway), then you also play for a few hours - most people spend as much time glued to the TV vegetating in their couch.

What makes it more BS is that nowadays people do not just play with RS. I personally have display for old school runescape buy gold, and the rest is for other things; I see videos/Netflix, but also see a lot. I read about topics of my interest, which is chiefly linked to real or life sciences - I have expanded my knowledge in areas I didn't immediately study in uni immensely while playing with RS. That is to say that many players do what they would otherwise do but also have RuneScape running at precisely the same time. It's not necessary to generate RS into some kind of evil boogeyman.
