While my understanding is very basic, I am now choosing plays with the objective of obtaining a specific outcome, instead of the guesswork I had been relying on earlier. And this understanding has helped me because I now know when I'm looking at a Cover-2 or a Blitz, and while I am far from perfect at reading this, it's helped me to get some larger profits. Lobbing the ball out to my receiver in play-action, by way of instance, when I can see a cornerback will drop off into a deep zone, is a good example of something I have learned that works.
I practiced a lot from the computer, and wished to ensure that I was able to win pretty much 95 percent of the time with the Competitive setting enabled. Plenty Ultimate Team challenges plump up to the Arcade setting, and while I would play with these on the maximum difficulty available, I did not find it good practice because receivers and quarterbacks are god-like; the internet experience is quite a bit more realistic, and so you can't just toss a 60-yard throw into double coverage and hope to think of the ball.

Solo Battles became my favorite mode, as it enabled me to play short games against the computer at increasing issues with Competitive settings. Within a few weeks, I'd reached a point where I could blowout an opponent on Pro and win at All-Pro, but I do struggle on All-Madden. Online is even more difficult as you're up against a real human opponent, however, people are also prone to impatience and errors the pc do not have.
