This follows news that Activision Blizzard's sales have dropped with a considerable and sudden amount, meaning that its next couple of titles will need to be successes. Between what some enthusiasts deem to Diablo 4 Gold be the Hong Kong controversy that blew up in October and mismanagement of the company's franchises, it's possible that new games are not sufficient to divert the audience from some difficulties with Activision Blizzard.
Blizzard has teased Diablo 4 expansions by comparing it to the first chapter of a book with a big story. We already knew that, like Diablo installments, Diablo 4 will probably be getting expansions apart from the base game.
"Once we saw the artwork we were inspired, [Lilith] was a personality that we could build a story around," Game Director Luis Barriga told Ausgamer. There is a rich backstory found in lore books and books, so we chose to look closer in the creation myth. We believed that we have fought Diablo earlier, and Diablo always comes back so, it was a situation of, what other bullets do we now have on the table just lying about."
According to Art Director John Mueller, there's are lots of known and new characters that could be introduced to Diablo 4 in the future diluting expansions that revolve around other characters and antagonists. "Diablo IV is similar to the very first chapter of a book," the art director said. "We want to buy Diablo Gold tell a large story and we want to tell it, hopefully, for a very long time. Treating this such as the first chapter of Lilith and a book as a key role in this story, it feels great knowing that there are still all these other characters which could come back later on. Or, new personalities that we have not seen before."
