It is a cool idea, but it also makes you wonder why there is different a sequel when the company could continue to Diablo 4 Gold upgrade and change the game. If you factor in the desire of Activision, the whole thing starts to make sense, though.

And what better way to sell more games than to expand to new platforms? Blizzard started as a PC-focused developer, and it made a push to the universe of consoles over the last couple of years, but one location where the storied studio has hardly scraped the surface is mobile. Soon, that may change -- and Diablo: Immortal, that was announced in 2018, could just be the tip of the iceberg.

"In relation to Blizzard's strategy to mobile gaming, a lot of us over the last few years have shifted from playing mostly desktop to enjoying many hours on cellular, and we've got a lot of our finest developers currently working on brand new mobile titles across all of our IPs," said studio co-founder Allen Adham during a BlizzCon 2018 media conference. "A few of these are with outside partners, like Diablo: Immortal. A number of them are being developed only, and we'll have information to share on people in the future."

The question then becomes, can Blizzard keep its level of quality while increasing its output? The current launch of Warcraft 3: Reforged, that aimed to update the RTS classic, doesn't inspire confidence. The movie surfaced using several performance and connectivity problems, and bafflingly, it changed how the original game works. The situation got bad enough that Blizzard began offering fans refunds irrespective of playtime.

Granted, Blizzard didn't have fixer Rod Fergusson in its ranks for Reforged. And according to what we understand of Diablo 4, it is appearing to be the sort of grim, badass action game that lovers are hoping for. The next game at the demon-slaying franchise happens to be shaping up in the development studio during a period of cultural shift that is sweeping, and that's bound to buy Diablo Immortal Gold affect the game. "We have new products in development today at Blizzard than we have ever had in our history," Adham said at BlizzCon 2018. "And our future is quite bright."
