Simply make energy untradable, that RS gold is by far the main reason why several robots move at the wildy anyway. Then runescape players can still use it to training and it should greatly reduce botting as they are largely on f2p and the pale energy they could convert it to is almost worthless. They could also maintain the mechanic were cursed energy gets rid of limitations to make everybody in the crater by anyone. If people think it's not danger like that they could add a mechanic similar to the bloodwood trees where the energy that is cursed disappears when you proceed too far from the crater. You would need to transmute it to never lose it in the event that you gather energy for moneymaking or invention there. When they go this route then they could perhaps also give cursed energy a tiny stack limit to force folks to transmute it into tradable energies regularly.
Because slaying lava wyrms using a death cost locking you to a pker in 80k-90k death cost isn't affordable. Introduction the wild to your usual gear without risk (besides double/triple death cost) provides pkers better goals than agil/moth/energy/rc coaches and their skulls. A skull trick increasing the death price slightly kinda kills the purpose of skull tricks and lures so it's a win against the significant negatives of the region.
EoC PvP is dead for a lot of reasons, also It is likely not coming backagain. Maybe if the wild had a relatively lower risk (and much less risk of randomly losing a Bil in equipment because of a bug) people would really engage with the content. The wilderness is balanced around the extra threat from PKers, but equipment costs have increased a lot more prohibitive so that losing everything is a lot more debilitating than it was. Additionally, PvP has been a unfun shitshow ever since EoC went live; and that I think pretty much everybody has lost hope that it'll get fixed.. I think my time was during World occasion 2.
The cool thing about PvP (generally ) is that you are facing off against an erratic, smart opponent. Bossfights are mostly learning the mechanics of a boss and doing everything you learned over and above, but PvP can give people a chance to reveal deeper comprehension of the combat system. It should rely on watching what another runescape participant does and responding to that. Currently the battle in PvP has rediculous DPS that individuals with buy osrs gold safe abilities and equipment can kill individuals in just a second or 2. People die before they had a opportunity to respond which completely ruins the purpose of PvP.
